Terms of Service
The studio caps every engagement at four projects and says so in writing here.
These terms took effect 7 September 2026 and cover any inquiry, consultation or project run through yufemayi.com by Yufemayi, trading at that address, 84 Mill Street, Unit B, Austin, Texas 47748, United States. Five parts below; jump to any of them, or read straight through.
Part 01
Who these terms are with, and what the studio does
These terms took effect 7 September 2026. A later version replaces this one on the date printed at the top of that version; the version in force is always the one live on yufemayi.com at the time of your inquiry.
The studio, named
Yufemayi trades from 84 Mill Street, Unit B, Austin, Texas 47748, United States. It is a one-person design studio with one part-time production hand, not a corporation with a legal department, and these terms are written that way on purpose. Reach the studio directly at office@yufemayi.com or +1 (783) 555-7514.
What's offered, and what isn't
Yufemayi designs logo marks, the visual identity system around a mark, single-purpose project pages for a launch or a menu or a booking link, and paid visual consultation sessions. It does not build full websites, does not manage social accounts, and does not run advertising campaigns on a client's behalf. If a project needs any of those three things, that work sits outside this studio and is said so before an inquiry becomes a job.
Inquiries, not orders
Nothing on yufemayi.com is sold or paid for directly through the site. The contact form and the estimator produce an inquiry and a planning figure — neither is a binding quote. A project starts once the studio and the client agree a written scope and a fee by email, after a call; that agreement, not the website, is what makes the engagement real.
Part 02
What sets a price, and what changes it
Fees are set per project, in US dollars, on the bases described on the services page: a flat starting fee for a logo mark, a starting fee plus per-application setup for a full identity system, a flat per-page fee for project pages, and a per-session fee for a consultation. What changes a price: the scope agreed at the start, the number of project pages added, revision rounds beyond the two included in a project, and a rush timeline, which adds 25% to the running figure. Foil stamping and letterpress printing are quoted and billed separately from digital proofing, at what those processes cost, and are never folded quietly into a larger number.
Scope changes, and changes to these terms
A change to project scope after work starts is agreed in writing over email before it's billed — the studio does not add fees retroactively for work already scoped. A change to these terms themselves takes effect when a new version is published at this URL with a new effective date at the top; continuing to use the site after that date means the new version applies to you.
What a visitor may not do here
Don't submit false contact details to the inquiry form, scrape the site's text or photographs for reuse, attempt to access anything under an admin path, or use the contact or chat channels to send unsolicited commercial messages. Any of that is grounds to block further access, described under When Access Is Withdrawn in Part 03 below.
Part 03
Who owns the mark once it ships, and who owns the site
On full payment, ownership of a delivered mark, its vector outline files and its guideline document passes to the client for their own use. The text, the photographs and the case studies published on yufemayi.com, and the Yufemayi name and mark itself, remain the property of the studio; a project shown as a case study stays visible here as a record of the studio's own work unless the client and studio agree otherwise in writing at the outset.
When access is withdrawn
The studio can decline an inquiry outright — four projects at a time means most weeks it says no to more than it takes. Access to an in-progress project's working files can be paused if an invoice runs unpaid past its terms, and access to this website's inquiry and chat channels can be withdrawn from a visitor who breaches Acceptable Use above.
Part 04
The workmanship guarantee, and what it doesn't cover
If a delivered file is genuinely broken — outlines that don't hold at print size, a spec sheet with a wrong hex value, a guideline PDF with a missing page — the studio fixes it at no charge, full stop, for 30 days after delivery. That's a workmanship guarantee against error, not a promise of unlimited taste-matching: two directions and two included revision rounds are the scope, and a client who wants a third and fourth round of changes to a mark that isn't broken, just not yet to their liking, is buying additional revision rounds at $150 flat each, not invoking the guarantee. The studio has turned down projects that wanted five directions delivered by Friday, and will turn down a guarantee claim that's actually a sixth round of stylistic changes dressed up as a defect.
What's provided as is
Outside that 30-day guarantee window, deliverables are provided as is. The studio does not warrant that a mark will register as a trademark, that a guideline document will be followed correctly by every vendor a client hires afterward, or that this website will be free of every technical fault — a form that fails to submit on a given day is reported to office@yufemayi.com and fixed, not guaranteed never to happen.
Part 05
The limit of what the studio owes if something goes wrong
The studio's liability for any claim arising from a project or from this website is limited to the fees actually paid for that project. It is not liable for indirect losses — a missed launch date because a client's own printer ran late, a rebrand that didn't perform the way a client hoped commercially, lost profits of any kind. Nothing here limits liability where the law of Texas does not allow it to be limited.
Law and venue
These terms are governed by the law of Texas, United States. A dispute that can't be resolved directly is heard in the courts of Austin, Texas.
